With Georgetown's rolling admissions process, Early
Decision applicants receive the best consideration. Early Decision is binding.
Georgetown encourages all applicants to apply as early as possible. For further details go to Juris
Doctor Admissions.
| Can I apply
through Early Decision if I'm taking the October
LSAT? |
Yes. Your file does not need to
be complete with test scores until November 30. However, if you want us to consider a December 2007 (or later) LSAT score, you will not be eligible for Early Decision. |
| What
possible decisions can I receive? |
Admit, Deny, Defer
or Waitlist. We defer about 15% of the applicants to the
regular admissions process in order to get a better sense
of the applicant pool. Deferred applicants are usually
sent out a decision no later than March 1. Early Decision
applicants who receive a Deferred or Waitlist decision
are no longer bound to attend Georgetown. |
| If
I get denied through Early Decision, can
I apply through the regular admissions process? |
No. Early Decision
applicants receive the best consideration.
Applicants can only apply once per admissions cycle. |
| Can
I apply to other schools for their Early Action programs? |
Yes,
but if you are admitted under Georgetown's binding Early
Decision program, you will be required to withdraw all
other law school applications. |
| Can
I apply to other schools for their Early Decision programs? |
No.
Because offers of admission extended under the Early
Decision process are binding, candidates may not apply
to Georgetown and to other law schools under similar binding Early
Decision processes. You can, however, apply to another
law school though their regular admissions process; however,
if admitted to Georgetown under Early Decision, you will
be required to withdraw your applications to other law
schools. |
