Annual wireless expansion nearly completed

The Georgetown University Law Center has one of the most impressive higher education wireless networks in the world. Over one hundred state-of-the-art wireless network access points and infrastructure switches and routers made by Cisco Systems, Inc. carry the data and voice traffic of several thousand users. To better support the needs of the community, the Law Center will add even more wireless access points in high traffic areas, i.e. large classrooms, and in dorm rooms in the next few weeks. Nevertheless, there seems to be an ever-growing demand for wireless services. Our new strategic plan for technology will continue to focus on expanding wireless connectivity over the next five years.
