Digital Class Recording System

Some time ago we recognized the incongruity of hosting a web site that receives over one million visitors annually and the delivery of audio recordings of class lectures by antiquated means. With funding from last year’s Finance committee, collaboration from this year’s Technology Users and the Teaching committees, and in partnership with Apple Computer Corporation, we have installed one of the most sophisticated class recording digital systems in the world. At this time, the system can only be used at the request of a faculty member, or of an academic dean with permission from the faculty member. The Student Bar Association, the Teaching Committee, and the Administration are working on the policy and procedures for the new system. All parties involved are working as fast as they can on this because the old system is no longer adequate. I apologize for any inconvenience during the transition.
