Faculty Technology Retreat

The second Law Center faculty technology retreat led by Dean Carol O’Neil was a great success. Our gratitude goes to the Dean’s Office for sponsoring it, promoting it and actively participating in it. I want to publicly thank professors Diana Donahoe, Vicki Jackson, Rebecca Tushnet, and Kathryn Zeiler, and librarians Jennifer Locke Davitt and Janice Anderson for sharing creative technology ideas with faculty and senior administrators. Two IST team members, Christopher Ballantyne and Sabrina Mapp, spoke eloquently at the retreat. We covered classroom technology, web conferencing, videoconferencing, courseware systems, Internet access control in classrooms, library services, faculty web pages, and multimedia web repositories. Most importantly, we introduced the new strategic plan for technology to the faculty and received great feedback from them on many technology issues and projects.
