A well-presented resume is a necessary job-hunting tool. The Professional Development Team has put together an advice manual on how to draft resumes which can be found in the LL.M. Resource Manual at www.law.georgetown.edu/graduate/ProfessionalDevelopment.htm. In addition, there will be several workshops and drop-in sessions on resume writing, including one during Orientation Week.

Although there is no one right way to do a resume, it can be useful to have someone else review your resume to help ensure that your resume is clear and error free. To facilitate this process, we offer a service whereby you can submit your resume electronically. Your resume will be reviewed by our Professional Development Team. To use the Resume Review service, simply send your resume and/or your cover letter to one of the following email addresses, starting after the Add/Drop period (Wednesday, September 12, 2007):

The Professional Development Team will make every effort to reply within a week, although occasionally, because of heavy volume, this is not possible.
