Open Office Hours

The members of Graduate Career and Professional Development are available to meet with current LL.M. students during regularly-scheduled Open Office Hours.  For your convenience, we are available for two hours every day of the week, scheduled at different times each day to accommodate students’ class schedules.  During Open Office Hours, you may ask us questions about job search strategies, discuss comments that we have made to your resumes or cover letters, and seek advice on any other career or professional development issues.  We will gladly see as many students as time permits.

Students may also speak with a member of Graduate Career and Professional Development by telephone during Open Office Hours.  Please call (202) 662-9036 during regularly-scheduled Open Office Hours to speak with a Graduate Career and Professional Development advisor.

Open Office Hours can sometimes be very popular, particularly when there are student deadlines.  Therefore, we encourage LL.M. students to arrive at the Office of Graduate Programs early in order to ensure that adequate time is devoted to the student's particular inquiry.

Additional Open Office Hours for Part-Time LL.M. Students

In addition to the regularly-scheduled Open Office Hours in the Fall and Spring semesters, Graduate Career and Professional Development will hold evening hours at least once a month for part-time LL.M. students from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the following dates:

• February 7
• March date to be announced
• April date to be announced

Similar to our regularly-scheduled Open Office Hours, students attending our evening hours will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis.  These sessions will be held in our Graduate Lounge on the sixth floor of the Hotung Building, just outside the Office of Graduate Programs (Hotung 5008).
