Bill’s approach to advising LL.M. students is founded on his experiences in education and in the practice of law. After teaching marketing and English to office workers in Tokyo, Bill obtained his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was a Law Fellow and Senior Writing Fellow in the Legal Research and Writing Department, and to which he returned after graduation to teach U.S. legal discourse to LL.M. candidates. Bill practiced taxation and estate planning for 9 years, in both nationally-known firms in the DC region and a smaller local Florida firm, and also worked for two years training and managing teams of attorneys on large litigation projects. Bill has an LL.M. from the University of Miami and an A.B. from Harvard University, and is admitted to practice in Virginia, Florida, and the District of Columbia.
