Law Fellow Program
Georgetown’s Law Fellow Program, available to secondand third year students, offers strong writers an opportunity to further hone their skills under the close mentorship of experienced legal research and writing faculty. Law Fellows are selected in a competitive application process and are a vital component of Georgetown’s first year Legal Research and Writing Program.
Working with roughly ten first year students, Law Fellows assist faculty in facilitating interactive classroom exercises; holding regular office hours; drafting extensive, substantive comments on students’ written assignments; and conferencing individually with students about their writing. Faculty work closely with groups of four to six Law Fellows throughout the year, providing detailed feedback on all of the fellows’ comments before each paper is returned to the students.
