Why Giving Matters
Giving enables the Center to engage students in the conversation about constitutional interpretation, bringing scholars, practitioners, judges, and students together to learn from one another. During the fall and spring semesters, the Center reaches students through lunchtime lectures and scholarly debates. In the summer, the Center's "Originalism in Theory and Practice" seminar offers students a one-week, intensive study in constitutional interpretation. By supporting student development, the Center will be able to provide scholarships so more students may enroll in this course, as well as allow the Center to reach more students during the regular academic year.
Fellowships & Visiting Scholars
The Center believes in the value of academia and mentoring young scholars to continue the Center's mission of remaining faithful to the Constitution's text. Donations allow the Center to provide positions to fellows and visiting scholars who are able to study, research, and teach at Georgetown Law.
The Center seeks to take advantage of the rich culture and opportunities for collaboration in Washington, D.C. When donations make it possible, the Center works to bring groups together to discuss the most pressing constitutional law issues. In the past, the Center has collaborated with The Supreme Court Historical Society, The Federalist Society, The Fund for American Studies, The Constitution Accountability Center, and The Heritage Foundation, to name a few.
