HRI engages the human rights movement through its Research. Many HRI research projects also provide opportunities for Georgetown Law students interested in pursuing a career as a human rights lawyer to gain knowledge, skills, and experience.

HRI publishes a paper series, Perspectives on Human Rights, which presents essays, working papers, and research on current issues in human rights with implications for law and policy.
HRI also regularly publishes research in the context of its Fact-Finding and Legal & Policy Advocacy Projects.
