About the Faculty

Mitt Regan
Mitt is the principal investigator on several research projects at the Center, including one on law firm culture. Along with Jeff Bauman, Mitt coordinates the Center's Law Firm Roundtable, which focuses on issues relating to ethics, liability, and risk for law firms. Mitt also teaches courses on Law Firms and on Professional Responsibility, and trains practitioners through Georgetown's Executive Education program. Mitt's scholarship focuses on the legal profession, law firms, ethics and corporations.

Jeff Bauman
Jeff coordinates and directs the Center's Ethics Roundtable with Mitt Regan. In addition to his role as co-director of the Roundtable, Jeff offers courses relevant to the Center's mission, including a course on Corporations and a seminar on Business Planning. Jeff's scholarship focuses on corporate law.

Michael Frisch
Mike is Ethics Counsel to the Law Center. He previously was senior assistant bar counsel to the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. He was in private practice from 1978-84 and assistant federal public defender for Maryland from 1975-78. Mike worked as a research assistant for the Senate Watergate Committee in 1973 and 1974.

Barry Cohen
Barry works with the Co-Directors of the Center in developing and presenting ethics and professional responsibility risk management training programs for law firms, and provides support for the Center's Law Firm Roundtable. Barry is a partner at a major law firm and teaches professional responsibility at the Law Center.
