The Center on Privacy & Technology at Georgetown Law Center is a think tank focused on privacy and surveillance law and policy. This academic year, the Center will:

  • Study the impact of government surveillance and commercial data practices on vulnerable communities, including racial and ethnic minorities, immigrants, LGBT persons, and the poor;

  • Provide intellectual and legal foundations for reforms to our nation’s consumer privacy laws, particularly in new technologies such as biometrics, wearables, and the Internet of Things; and

  • Offer technology-intensive courses that prepare our students to be leaders in privacy practice, policymaking and advocacy.
