Request An Application Fee Waiver

Applicants who submit their application form online through LSAC must submit the Law Center's nonrefundable $85 application fee by credit card at the time they apply. Applicants who submit their application form by downloading a paper application must submit the Law Center's nonrefundable $85 application fee by check or money order at the time they apply.

Georgetown Law grants need-based application fee waivers on a case-by-case basis. The deadline to apply for a need-based application fee waiver for Fall 2014 is February 1, 2014. To apply for a need-based fee waiver, the Office of Admissions Fee Waiver Application (coming Summer 2013) must be submitted by e-mail to admis@law.georgetown.edu prior to the submission of your application. We will begin accepting fee waiver requests for Fall 2014 admission on September 1, 2013. If approved, you will receive email notification with instructions on how to proceed with your application submission. Please allow up to 2 weeks for the fee waiver application review process.  Fee waivers will be automatically granted to those who receive a need-based fee waiver through LSAC

Note: Georgetown Law will not issue a refund to any applicant who fails to secure a fee waiver prior to submitting his or her application form. 

Fee Waiver Programs

Georgetown Law also grants fee waivers for U.S. military veterans and service members, Returned Peace Corps Volunteers, active Teach For America corps members and alumni/a, and Truman Scholars upon submitting the requisite supporting documents.
