With the exception of applicants to the Early Assurance Program, all applicants for admission to the J.D. Program at the Law Center are required to take either the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) or the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE). All candidates for Fall 2018 admission must have taken a test in or after June 2012. Although we will accept the February 2018 LSAT, taking an earlier exam is strongly encouraged.
Georgetown Law requires only one of the above test scores to apply to the J.D. program. Scores from both tests will be accepted. If you would like the Committee to consider additional test scores before rendering a decision, you should complete the "hold request" section of the application. If you have already submitted your application, you are welcome to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to request that the Committee hold your application until additional test score(s) are received.
