The Extended LL.M. with Certificate in American Legal English is intended for students whose English skills, as demonstrated by their TOEFL scores, have not reached the level required for admission into the regular LL.M. degree program.

Please be aware that the Graduate Admissions Committee does not review applications until we have received all required documentation. Applicants are encouraged to keep a copy of their completed application and supporting documents, as all application materials become the property of Georgetown and will not be returned.

Please note that the tuition for the Extended LL.M. with Certificate in American Legal English program is two years of full-time tuition.
*Late applications might be accepted after the application deadline if there is space available in the class. If late applications are accepted, the application fee is increased to $100.
