Mission Statement

The Board of Visitors of Georgetown University Law Center consists of approximately 30 members drawn from the public and private sectors.  They have been chosen from a geographically and professionally diverse cross-section of alumni, parents and friends selected for their ability to provide advice to the Dean on how to strengthen teaching, scholarship and service at the Law Center.

The Board of Visitors is responsible to the Dean of the Law Center.  The Board provides counsel to the Dean, with particular focus on:

1. strengthening the academic goals of the Law Center and improving its visibility, both nationally and internationally,
2. addressing the concerns of alumni, students, faculty, parents and friends of the Law center; and
3. increasing and strengthening the financial resources of the Law Center.
