2013 Swearing-In Ceremony: Monday, June 17
Georgetown Law is pleased to provide an opportunity for alumni to apply for admission to the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States. This year, the ceremony will take place on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 8:30 a.m. Alumni who have been practicing members of the highest court of a U.S. state for a minimum period of three years and are in good standing are eligible to apply.
Your morning will include breakfast, the swearing-in ceremony, followed by a reception. If you would like to participate in the ceremony, please follow all steps listed below.
How to Apply:

Fill out the Form of Intent to reserve your place as one of the 50 alumni participating in the ceremony, given all your materials are submitted by May 10. When the event is at maximum capacity, a waiting list will be formed and you will be notified.

Complete the Bar Application. Each applicant must have the endorsement of two sponsors, who must each be a member of the Bar of the Supreme Court. If you need assistance in finding sponsors, please contact Laura Macrorie at lbm7@law.georgetown.edu.

Obtain a certificate from the clerk, presiding judge, or other authorized official of the highest Court of a State, Commonwealth, Territory or Possession, or the District of Columbia evidencing the fact that you have been a member in good standing of the Bar of such for at least three years. Bar certificates are not accepted.

With a $200 check made payable to the "Supreme Court of the United States", submit all materials together to:

Completed applications will be accepted from the first 50 alumni* who submit the Form of Intent through May 10, 2013. After that date, materials will be accepted from alumni on the waiting list. A completed application includes the Bar Application, a Certificate of Good Standing, and a check for $200.
