Student Housing Orientation Program

The Student Housing Orientation Program (SHOP), held twice annually, is designed to assist Georgetown Law Students with their housing needs.  Since Georgetown Law is primarily a commuter campus, most students are required to search for off-campus housing.  The spring S.H.O.P. (March/April) is arranged primarily for Gewirz Student Center residents in order to help facilitate a smooth transition from on-campus living to various types of off-campus situations.  The entire Georgetown Law community is welcomed to attend to search off campus housing resources.

There will be information on the following:

  • Conducting a successful housing search
  • Neighborhood descriptions
  • Managing finances
  • Realtor fair
  • Rental insurance
  • Housing types
  • Area price ranges
  • Commuting/public transportation options

Our SHOP program is held at the Gewirz Student Center.  If you have any questions, please feel free to call our office at 202-662-9290.
