Meet Your Summer Resident Advisors
Danielle Tepper (606)- Floors 2 & 3
Danielle grew up in Westfield, New Jersey and has yet to cross paths with any cast members from MTV's Jersey Shore. She graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in French. Her Honors Thesis discussed a constitutional right of confidentiality against disclosure of personal information. While at UNC, she participated in the drum line and was proud to call herself a "band geek." Since arriving at Georgetown Law, she has pursued her passion for media law and is very excited to work in the media division of the Institute for Public Representation next spring. She is currently working as a summer legal associate for Free Press and as a research assistant for a Georgetown Law professor. Danielle's hobbies include dancing, baking, teaching Zumba at the GULC Fitness Center, and watching Game of Thrones. Welcome to your summer Gewirz home!
Jon Dodd (306)- Floors 4 & 5
Jonathan Dodd grew up in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a degree in history. Before Law school, he worked as a private investigator and interned with the US Embassy in Mexico City. This summer he is interning with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives in the Legislative Affairs Division. He is a huge Game of Thrones fan and still watches Lost sometimes. Namaste.
Noah Jaffe (1006)- Floors 6 & 7
Noah was born in Virginia but moved to Texas soon after. He attended the University of Texas at Austin where he majored in History and Government. After graduating from UT he completed an M.A. program in Tel Aviv, Israel, which involved part-time thesis-writing on naval strategies and national security, and part-time chilling on Mediterranean beaches. In between finishing the M.A. program and beginning J.D. studies at Georgetown, he went on a five week backing trip in India. Showing up to a new country with nothing but a bag and a Lonely Planet travel guide (1991 edition) made for a great adventure. After a great 1L experience, he is looking forward to a variety of activities for the next school year, and will be splitting his time this summer between interning for a Judge and working for a lobby that promotes trade and investment between the U.S. and India.
Ryan Kocse (306)- Floors 8 & 9
Hi! My name is Ryan Kocse and I am a second-year law student from Allentown, Pennsylvania. I graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 2012 with a degree in economics and a minor in mathematics—my younger brother is there now and my little sister is on her way (I hope!). I love movies, music, football, training in boxing and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and joking around. I am a member of several community service organizations on campus including Job Squad, a club that sends students to the nearby homeless shelter on a weekly basis to help residents craft resumes, cover letters, and job applications. On weekends I occasionally go out to lunch with a Supreme Court Justice and give him/her pointers for the next week's oral arguments. I am learning to play piano and have played guitar since high school. After this summer, your life will never be the same--welcome to DC!!
Mike Recchia (1006)- Floors 10 & 11
Apart from being a summer RA, this summer he will be researching on campus for Professor Mlyniec and studying for the CPA. He graduated from The College of New Jersey in 2012 with a degree in Finance and Accounting. His hobbies include reading, meditating, ping pong, and soccer. If you like any of these things, please don't hesitate to contact him - the more the better!
Mike just completed his 1l year at the Georgetown Law Center. During the school year he joined the American Friends Service Committee in order to teach the Universal Declaration of Human Rights to D.C. High School students at Anacostia High School. He is the current Treasurer and VP of Communications for Georgetown Law's Human Rights Action - Amnesty International (HRA-AI). He is currently trying to find a way to combine his background in finance and accounting with his interest in human rights issues.
Mike lives in room 1006 with Noah Jaffe. Feel free to stop by his room to chat, or friend him on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/michael.recchia.39.
