Emily D. Clawson
Emily D. Clawson joined the Office of Campus Ministry as the Interreligious Coordinator in December 2013 and now serves as Assistant Director for Outreach. She obtained her Masters of Divinity degree from Harvard Divinity School, where she studied and worked on initiatives involving religious diversity, transformative education, and feminist & liberative theologies. During her studies, she co-coordinated the Harvard Prison Education Project and was awarded the 2011 Greeley International Grant for the Promotion of Interreligious Understanding, Peace, & Social Justice.
Emily previously worked as a public school teacher and continues her work in holistic education as an instructor for Northwestern University's Civic Education Project. She received her Bachelors of Arts in Theology & Religious Studies and Communication Studies from the University of San Diego, where she initially developed her passion for justice, education, and theology. Emily is excited to continue her work in these areas through her position at Georgetown Law.
