Graduate photos taken during the main Commencement ceremony and at each Diploma Distribution Section Ceremony are taken by GradImages. Each graduate will have two (2) photos taken by the GradImages photographers at the diploma presentation ceremony: a handshake photo while receiving the diploma and an individual photo of each graduate with their diploma immediately following the presentation of the diploma. GradImages contacts graduates directly by email with proofs and instructions on how to order photos. If you have any questions, please contact them directly at (800) 261-2576.
All graduating J.D. and LL.M students will be invited to participate in the class graduation photo. This will take place on the steps on the New Jersey Ave. side of McDonough at 3:30pm on April 12th. If there is inclement weather, graduates will be notified of the rescheduling.
Any graduate who wishes to have a graduate portrait or professional headshot taken by GradImages may chose to do so. Sign-ups will for a 5 minute time slot through a Doodle Poll at doodle.com/poll/37xf6kgiid9aevsy. Graduate portraits are scheduled for the following dates: February 27, February 28 and March 1 and 2. There is no cost to take the photo and receive a proof. Graduates may then chose whether to order photos.
Guest Photography & Videography
We request that quests remain in their seats throughout both ceremonies. Guests can make their own personal photographs and videos from their seats without obstructing the view of other guests or blocking aisles. We rely on graduates to convey this message to their guests.
Video Feed and Webcasting
The Georgetown Law Commencement Main Ceremony will be webcast live on the Georgetown University website at several locations around campus (in the case of inclement weather). The webcast is later archived on the Georgetown University website and a live feed shown for future viewing.
