Dealing with Time Limits While Posting Messages
The Courseware system will log you out after twenty minutes of inactivity as a security measure. Since the network servers do not receive any signals when you type text into the Body field of a threaded discussion, the time-out clock runs while you are typing a memo for posting. To avoid timing out and losing your work, please do one of two things:
- Draft your memo in a word processor and then copy and paste it into the Body field.
- A two-minute warning dialog will appear after 18 minutes of typing in the Body field. Click on the Continue button to ensure that your server session is maintained.
