Parking and Transportation
Limited Free Parking in the McDonough Hall Garage for Students, August 21 - September 1, 2017
To allow students enough time to register their car and pick-up their hang tag for the academic year, students may park free in the McDonough Hall Garage during Orientation and Registration and the first week of classes, August 21 - September 1, 2017. A Public Safety officer will be stationed at the parking booth 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. to assist with garage entry.
Parking is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Students may only park in student parking spaces on the P2 level. Please do not park in Faculty, Staff, handicapped or visitor spaces. If the lot is full during this period, you will need to park at a meter or in one of the local garages. The lot is often full by 8:30am.
On Tuesday, September 5, 2017, we will be charging students the daily parking rate of $8.50 per entry.
Daily parking is available to all Georgetown Law students based on availability, on a first-come, first-served basis in the McDonough Hall garage. As of July 1, 2017, the Student daily parking rate is $8.50, payable by GOCard, by using the DAILY card reader at the parking booth entrance.
When you arrive at the parking booth, have your GOCard easily accessible, and out of any protective badge holder, wallet, case, purse, book bag, etc. Swipe your GOCard (with the magnetic strip to the right) on the DAILY card reader by the parking booth and the gate arm will lift up once payment has been accepted.
