Requests for Duplicate and Replacement Diplomas

A written request is required for a duplicate or replacement diploma. The request should be signed by the graduate and contain the following information: name, GoCard number OR last 4 digits of your social security number, date of graduation, degree received, reason for request, a street address where someone will be present to sign for the diploma and phone number (required for Federal Express), a daytime phone number where the graduate can be reached for questions, and an email address.

The cost of a duplicate or replacement diploma is $40.00, payable when request is made. Checks should be made out to Georgetown University Law Center.

Your diploma request and check should be mailed to: Georgetown University Law Center, Office of the Registrar, 600 New Jersey Ave, NW Washington, DC 20001.

Orders for duplicate and replacement diplomas will take 6 weeks to be processed by our vendor.

Please note that a graduate can only obtain a diploma with the name as it appears in our records when he/she graduated.

Duplicate and replacement diplomas will not be released to any graduate with an account balance.
