Requests for Duplicate and Replacement Diplomas
A written request is required for a duplicate and/or replacement diploma.
A written request should be signed by the graduate and and sent to the Office of the Registrar. The request should contain the following information:
Graduate's name (as it appeared on his or her diploma)
GoCard number OR last 4 digits of your social security number
Date of graduation
Reason for request
A street address where someone will be present to sign for the diploma
A daytime telephone number (required for Federal Express) where the graduate can be reached for questions
An email address
The cost of a duplicate and/or replacement diploma is $60.00, payable when the request is made. Checks should be made out to Georgetown University Law Center, and mailed to:

To guard against fraud, all duplicate and replacement diplomas will indicate the following notation (with the date the order is issued): "Duplicate Issued XX-XX-XXXX." This indication will appear in the lower right-hand corner of the diploma, and is non-negotiable, except for extenuating circumstances*.

Orders for duplicate and/or replacement diplomas will take 4-6 weeks to be processed by our vendor. Expedition is not available. Duplicate and/or replacement diplomas will not be released to any graduate with an account balance.
