Career Planning for 2Ls/3Es
Your second and third years provide unique opportunities to explore many different
markets, types of employers and geographic locations. Though by their third year of law school, many students
will know where they want to work when they graduate,
it can be a real challenge for those seeking to stay on top
of the deadlines for each sector or individual employer.
We encourage you to keep in contact
with your OCS or
Office of Public Interest and Community Service (OPICS) advisor regarding your search. You should remember that the
best opportunities are often found through individualized job searches, so do not limit
yourself to OCS or OPICS sponsored programs! For more information, please review Chapter 3 of the OCS Career Planning Manual, which focuses on career planning for upperclass students.
