Programming and Events
Georgetown Law constantly builds and sustains longstanding relationships with employers worldwide. We strive for excellence in assisting you with your recruitment efforts, while providing effective access to our bright, ambitious, diverse and professionally experienced students and alumni. If you are interested in enhancing your on-campus image or recruiting strategies, we encourage you participate in the following programs, aside from other Fall and Spring recruitment programs. Our team is more than happy to speak with you about your recruiting methods and how you can maximize your efforts here on campus.
Mock Interview Program
The Mock Interview Program assists students with developing and practicing their interviewing skills. This opportunity is invaluable for students who may be nervous about the interview process or have concerns about their interview skills or credentials. Alumni and volunteer attorneys in a variety of geographic locations interview students and provide them with critical feed back on their interview performance. The mock interviews occur at your firm at the convenience of the volunteer attorney. If you are interested in participating, please contact Sabrina James in OCS or call (202) 662-9300 if you have any questions.
Spotlight on Government Information Fair
Student interest in government opportunities is at an all-time high. In the Fall of 2010 OPICS initiated the first annual Spotlight on Government Information Fair. Spotlight provides a forum for government employers and Georgetown Law students to engage in invaluable informational exchange about hiring programs and general information about a range of federal, state and local government agencies. To learn more about participating in Spotlight, contact Ruby Sheikh by e-mail or at (202) 662-9314.
1L Firm Receptions
The Office of Career Services is excited to host its first ever 1L Firm Receptions on Wednesday, March 27 and Thursday, April 11 from 6 to 8p.m. in the Sport and Fitness Center lobby. The reception on Wednesday, March 27 is for firms in Washington, DC and the reception on Thursday, April 11 is for firms outside of Washington, DC. We hope that these programs will provide attorneys from across the US the opportunity to get to know our first year students before they leave for the summer.
