Perspective on Poverty Law from the Bench - Thursday, June 27 from 12 - 1:30 at Jones Day (300 NJ Avenue)
The Washington Council of Lawyers and the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia are pleased to offer a free brown bag lunch speaker series for public interest summer interns. The first program is entitled, "Perspectives on Poverty Law from the Bench," featuring DC Superior Court Associate Judges Jennifer Di Toro, Todd Edelman and Juliet McKenna, who will discuss the impact of poverty on the cases they hear, and how pro bono and public-interest attorneys make a difference in the administration of justice in the District of Columbia.
