InSITE, or Investments from Student Interaction with Technology and Entrepreneurs, is a non-for-profit Fellowship program for graduate students interested in advancing entrepreneurship within cities. Every semester, Fellows in Boston, New York, Silicon Valley, and DC regions join startups as pro-bono consultants to help the startups develop their business with the goal of raising venture financing (resulting in $215M raised since 2001). Our foremost goal is to enable students to strengthen the startup ecosystems in their communities, and to earn hands-on experience in the entrepreneurship and venture capital industries. Students can also find out more and apply on our website, www.InSITEFellows.org. You can also consult our student info sheet here: http://db.tt/d1BUKmJm.
Our information sessions are TODAY (Wednesday) September 11th at 6PM at the 1776 Startup Campus (1133 15th St., NW). A second info session will be held on Monday September 16th at 6PM, at the same location.
We are also hosting our kickoff event, “A Look into the Future: Early Stage Investing” at Work District (north of 14th & U Streets, NW) on Friday, September 20th at 5 PM featuring a panel discussion led by Zaarly Founder, Eric Koester. We would be thrilled to see you there.
