Registration for the Mock Interview Program is NOW OPEN!

The Mock Interview Program is a great opportunity for students to practice their interviewing skills before Early Interview Week. Students select the city in which they would like to do the interview (most often, the city where they're working over the summer) and OCS matches those students with volunteer attorneys who conduct the interviews in their office at a mutually agreeable time.

To register, please visit http://apps.law.georgetown.edu/forms/?formid=88. The deadline to register for the Mock Interview Program is Friday, June 7 and matches will be released on Friday, June 14. Interviews are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, so sign up early! If you have any questions regarding the program please contact Sabrina James at sj66@law.georgetown.edu.

Attention 1Ls! Plan to attend the 2nd Law Firm Reception – Thursday, April 11 6-8 p.m. (new firms!!)

Attention all 1L students! OCS is very excited to announce the second in a series of two law firm receptions we are hosting to help you prepare for Early Interview Week (EIW). On Thursday, April 11 from 6-8 p.m. in the Sport & Fitness Lobby, attorneys from 25 law firms will be on-hand to meet with you and discuss their career paths, their practice areas and their employers over cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Students who participate in EIW always ask for ways to differentiate between the hundreds of firms participating in the program – talking to the attorneys who work at these firms is the perfect way to find out which firms might be a good fit for you. We received very positive feedback from both students and attorneys who attended last week’s reception, so don’t miss this opportunity to attend this extremely popular event!

REMINDER: Sign up for Early Interview Week Information Sessions & Making the Most of Your Summer

The Office of Career Services will hold 15 information sessions that will address the specifics of participating in Georgetown Law's Early Interview Week (EIW) program, beginning next week.  You will receive an overview of the recruitment programs that we host and we will discuss how to think about making the most of your summer position in context of your overall career. 

In addition to learning about the resources to consult and strategies for constructing your bid list, you will learn about the nuts and bolts of the program itself, including how to obtain additional interviews, how to work a hospitality suite, and how to prepare for interviews.  If you plan to participate in EIW, attendance is essential and spacing for these sessions is limited to 25 students per session on a first come first served bases.   Please RSVP to only one of the 15 sessions by visiting the EVENTS tab on Symplicity.
