As we approach exams, we want to let you know that our offices will be open throughout the exam period and counselors will be available on an ongoing basis for appointments.
OCS will be open Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm beginning Monday, April 30. If you need to see your counselor outside of these hours, please contact him or her regarding availability. Formal walk-in hours will be suspended from now through the summer; however, if you have a “walk-in” question, feel free to call or stop by the office and the next available counselor will assist you.
OPICS is also open Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm beginning Monday, April 30. Please contact the front desk at (202) 662-9655 or stop by to set up an appointment with an OPICS advisor.
As you receive judicial clerkship interviews and offers, please remember to fill out the following forms, so that OCS can keep their statistics up to date and better serve you and your peers in the future.

Many of the regular OCS counselors, as well as some of the staff, will be attending the annual NALP Conference from Tuesday, April 17th through Friday, April 20th. The NALP conference is an excellent opportunity for OCS counselors to meet with employer representatives from across the country on your behalf, and is the premiere professional development opportunity for counselors.
The OCS office will be open Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm next week, and there will be counselors available in OCS and OPICS for in-person advising. Those counselors attending the conference will be checking e-mail and voicemail daily while at the conference.

Welcome back from spring break!
Summer will be here before we know it, and soon you will become upper-division students! As rising 2Ls, your summer 2013 job search may begin much earlier than the 1L search began. Your 2L job search may include organized recruiting programs, job search databases such as Symplicity and PSLawNet, and direct outreach to employers of interest. OCS and OPICS will hold information sessions about opportunities, dates, and deadlines (to be announced on Hoya Headlines), but we want to share some important dates that you may wish to consider when finalizing your summer plans.
As you may know, Early Interview Week (EIW) is Georgetown’s largest private sector on-campus interview program, and EIW is held at the Washington Court Hotel across the street from the Law Center (August 13-17, 2012). Bidding for EIW, the Government Interview Program (GIP), and off-campus regional interview programs takes place during the summer.
