Summer Funding: The South Asian Bar Association of DC 2013 Public Interest Fellowship
SABA-DC has extended the deadline for its annual Public Interest Summer Fellowship until Friday, April 12, 2013. Awards are up to $5,000 per student. The primary purpose of the fellowship is to help fund law students in:
- unpaid legal internships with a public interest organization
- in the metropolitan D.C. area
- focusing on the needs of the South Asian community.
The internships must be during the summer of 2013. Past recipients of the fellowship have worked with a variety of organizations including the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative, the Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center, Human Rights Watch, and SAALT (South Asian Americans Leading Together).
