Off-Campus Event - Practicing Health Law in the Health Reform Era: A Panel with Industry Experts

Please join the D.C. Bar on Wednesday, March 3rd from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the D.C. FAQ - How do I do a mail merge?

If you are thinking about applying for judicial internships or clerkships or if you need to do a  mass mailing to any other prospective employers, you can save a lot of time by learning how to do a mail merge. A mail merge is when you combine information from a data source, like a spreadsheet, with a word-processing document to automatically produce letters, labels, or envelopes. This is a much better use of your time than copying-and-pasting, retyping, or writing out names and addresses.

Your personal mail merge procedure will vary depending on a lot of different variables, including your software, the requirements of your mailing, and your data sources. The goal of this post is simply to introduce you to the principles and get you started.

The Leadership Library on the Internet, which is updated daily, is a database of the institutional leadership of the United States.  It covers 400,000 individuals at 40,000 leading U.S. government, business, professional, and nonprofit organizations. This database integrates the contents of 14 print Yellow Book directories: Congressional, Federal, State, Municipal, Federal Regional, Judicial, Corporate, Financial, News Media, Associations, Law Firms, Government Affairs, Foreign Representatives and Nonprofit Sector.
