Beginning Monday, May 3, during Reading and Exam periods, we will be open Monday-Friday from 9am-6pm, with regularly scheduled walk-in hours. Beginning Wednesday, May 19th, we will be open Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm. All formal walk-in hours will be suspended over the summer, though we will be happy to see you if a counselor is available when you stop in.

This year, Silicon Valley's corporate lawyers are at long last the popular kids again as tech companies are going public en masse for the first time in years. But a survey of legal fees shows that even with the upswing, generally lawyers aren't getting paid more for advising those companies. It's still a buyer's market.”

All of the regular OCS counselors, as well as some of the staff, will be attending the annual NALP Conference from Tuesday, April 27 through Friday, April 30. The NALP conference is an excellent opportunity for OCS counselors to meet with employers from across the country on your behalf.
The OCS office will be open Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm this week, and there will be counselors available in OPICS for in-person advising. OCS counselors will be checking e-mail and voicemail regularly while at the conference, so feel free to contact us. We will return to the office on Monday, May 3.
The Office of Career Services is now compiling Regional Resume Booklets for graduating students interested in obtaining post-graduate positions with small- and medium-sized firms in a variety of geographic regions. If you would like us to include your resume in one or more of these Booklets, please attach your "bid" and resume through the Regional Resume Booklet Session under the OCI tab in Symplicity by Monday, May 3rd at 6pm.
