Uploading Cover Letters and Other Documents in Symplicity

Please note:  There is a 15 document limit in Symplicity – students are prohibited from uploading more than 15 documents at a time. If you are interested in bidding on multiple employers who require tailored cover letters, you may upload a personalized cover letter and then delete it after you use it to place your bid.

For example, if you bid on Calfee, Halter & Griswold, LLP in the Request for Resumes Program and attach the relevant cover letter, you can then delete that cover letter from your list of documents and upload a cover letter for a different employer. Your cover letter will remain attached to your bid.

Please keep in mind that there is also a 200K size limit for documents that you upload in Symplicity.  If you have a pdf that is over the 200K size limit, you must reduce the file size before you upload it in Symplicity.

See below for more information on uploading documents. This information is relevant for students applying to employers participating in programs that require/request cover letters (i.e. the Government Interview Program and the Request for Resumes Program, etc.):

Clerkship Deadlines on August 4th for Paper and Online Applications, and State Court Resources

By August 4th, all paper applications registered for the first clerkship mailing must have been delivered to Matt Zimmerman in OCS. Also by August 4th, OSCAR applicants need to have begun building their applications for each OSCAR judge to whom they are applying and assigned recommenders to each application. Please also see our recent blog post about applying to vacancies in OSCAR.

Please remember to review the Application Procedures and Deadlines available on our website. We also have detailed instructions for preparing your paper applications.

Applying for Federal Judicial Clerkships Using OSCAR
