Student
bidding for the Georgetown/GW Law Public Sector Recruitment Program will open
today.
The
Public Sector Recruitment Program includes three different participation
options:
- A
day long interview program in which nonprofit
organizations, government agencies and private public interest law firms will be recruiting 1L and 2L JDs for
summer internship opportunities and 3L JDs for permanent positions;
- A
resume/cover letter collection for employers that cannot interview on
the day of the program; and
- Table
Talk – an opportunity for students to speak informally with employers at
the Marvin Center.
Please
keep in mind that this is a prescreened interview program. Each employer participating
in the PSRP requires a resume and employer-specific cover letter
from each applicant, so be prepared to devote sufficient time to prepare your
application materials. Please mark your calendar with the PSRP
application deadlines below:
Thursday,
January 5, 2012 at 12:00pm - deadline to upload materials for the
Public Sector Interview Option.
Wednesday,
January 11, 2011 at 5:00pm - deadline to upload materials for the Public
Sector Resume Collection Option.
Information on participating
employers and step by step instructions will be available to you today at 5:00 pm (please make sure to read the Georgetown/GW Law Public Sector Recruitment Program Open Bidding Email for instructions).
Please note – we are still processing employer registrations so make sure to
check Symplicity for updates.
The Law Center is closed for
the Christmas/New Year holidays from December 23 – January 2. OPICS will be open on Tuesday,
January 3, 2012. If you have any technical Symplicity questions,
please e-mail Ruby Sheikh, Manager of Public Sector Recruitment, at ris6@law.georgetown.edu.
