Sign Up Now for the Mock Interview Program

As we mentioned in the Fall Recruiting Orientations, each year OCS sponsors a mock interview program to assist students with developing and practicing interview skills. Alumni and volunteer attorneys from large law firms in a variety of geographic locations interview students and provide them with critical feedback on their interview performance. Interviews will be conducted in the volunteer attorneys' offices. This opportunity is invaluable to students who may be nervous about the interview process or have concerns about their interview skills.

Registration for the Mock Interview Program is now open - click here to sign up. The Mock Interview Program registration deadline is Friday, July 1, 2011.

We encourage students to sign up as soon as possible as matches are made on a first-come, first-served basis. This is a popular program and, while OCS makes every effort to match every student who signs up with an attorney, we cannot guarantee that every student will be matched. If you are matched, you will receive contact information for your interviewer on Friday, July 8, 2011. After July 9, matches will be handled on a case by case basis.

Symplicity Class Year Roll-Up

The Office of Career Services has "rolled-up" your Class Year in Symplicity. You are now categorized as the class year you will begin in the fall.

For example, students who just completed their first year of law school are now classified as 2Ls or 2Es, and students who just graduated are now classified as Alumni. It is especially important for joint and concurrent degree students as well as evening students who have switched to the day division to make sure their class year is correct in Symplicity. Job postings will also reflect your new class years.

Please verify that your Class Year is correct and contact us if it needs to be changed.  If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the Office of Career Services at (202) 662-9300.
