If you are interested in a career in finance, check out the Wall Street Journal’s "Fins Finance" website at www.fins.com.  According to a News Corporation article written when the site launched in 2009, FINS.com is

“a stand-alone, online resource specifically targeting financial professionals and the finance market. The site covers all major financial sectors with associated jobs and news, in-depth research on companies, and daily columns offering advice and career insight, with the credibility and authority of The Wall Street Journal.  Free to users, FINS.com is a daily destination for both active job seekers and those in the finance industry who want to keep abreast of career-related dynamics in the market.”

Reminder - SIP II Bid Deadline is 6pm on Wed., August 31

The deadline to bid on employers participating in session II of the September Interview Program is 6:00 pm on Wednesday, August 31st. Log into Symplicity and click on OCI. Change the session to “September Interview Program 2011 (session II)” to view and bid on employers. Sessions II and III of the September Interview Program are pre-screened programs. Therefore, employers will be reviewing resumes and selecting candidates they wish to see on their interview date. For questions, please refer to the SIP Instruction Packet.

REMINDER - Clerkship Interview Workshop – Wed., August 31st at 3:30pm

The clerkship interview process can be complicated and tough to navigate.  Get prepared by attending the Clerkship Interview Workshop on Wednesday, August 31 at 3:30 P.M. in McDonough 201.  Emmy Berning will discuss potential interview topics and strategies for handling interviews.  Clerkship interviews are often scheduled only a day or two in advance, leaving little time to get ready for an interview.  This interview workshop will give you the tools you need to manage the process and feel confident in answering even the most unexpected questions.
