The cost for law students is $10.00.

More than half of the litigants who appear before the Family Division at D.C. Superior Court are pro se.  In January 1994, the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Program launched the Pro-Se-Plus Divorce Clinic to help unrepresented litigants better understands the divorce process in D.C.  If you are an attorney, paralegal, or law student, you can help the many individuals who appear pro se at the courthouse by attending this training and volunteering in the Clinic...please click on the headline above for additional information.

Hot Jobs in Chicago for 1Ls and 2Ls - Public Interest Law Initiative Student Internship Program

The Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI) program provides internships for first and second-year law students from across the country to work at public interest law agencies in the Chicago area for 400 hours over the summer.

Many PILI Interns provide low-income and disenfranchised clients with critically needed direct legal assistance. Other PILI Interns conduct advocacy, policy-based work or impact litigation that enhances the health, safety and welfare of the disenfranchised. All PILI Interns gain valuable work experience that distinguishes their education and ultimately their careers.  PILI raises the funds necessary for each agency to pay its PILI Interns, ensures quality supervision by experienced agency lawyers, provides an educational luncheon seminar series, hosts social events and offers networking opportunities.

The application period for summer internships opened on October 15 for 2Ls and will open on December 1 for 1Ls. Additional information on participating employers and application instructions is available at http://www.pili-law.org/internships.htm
