Upcoming FREE Program by Patent Trademark and Copyright Section Bar Association of DC
Next Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012 from 12 - 1 pm, the Patent
Trademark and Copyright Section of the Bar Association of the District
of Columbia will present a live panel entitled "New gTLDs: After the Reveal Day,"
exploring the impact of new gTLDs (generic Top-Level Domains, which are
new internet extensions akin to .com, .org, etc.) on businesses and
brand owners. The panel would be attractive to any law students interested in IP law, particularly those focused on trademark or cyber law.
Although this panel is offered at a charge to practicing members of the
BADC, they are offering the opportunity for local law students to
participate FREE of charge (plus, they will have free lunch and an opportunity to meet members of the PTC section of the DC Bar).
If you wish to participate, please contact the Patent Trademark and Copyright Section at badc.ptc@gmail.com by 7 pm on Tuesday, Dec. 4, with the word "gTLD" in the subject line.
The live panel will be held at the law offices of Crowell & Moring, at
1001 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, 11th Floor. Additional information on the live panel is available at:
