TODAY!! EJF Summer Funding Initial Application Deadline & Info Session

2012 Equal Justice Foundation (EJF) Guaranteed Summer Funding for JD students:

All students planning to apply for EJF funding, must complete an initial online application by 5:00 pm today, February 27. This is a MANDATORY deadline, but a confirmed offer of employment is not required by this date. The initial application is very easy to complete, but it must be submitted by the deadline.

In addition, you must attend a mandatory EJF Information Session today, February 27 or Wednesday, February 29, from 3:30-4:30 pm in McDonough 205, or watch the video link that will be provided online after the first Information Session. You are responsible for knowing the information provided on the EJF website, below, and at the Information Session, and adhering to the deadlines and rules.

SIPLA event - "A Day in the Life of a Patent Attorney" - Mon., 2/27 at 11:30am

On Monday, February 27th, at 11:30 AM in McDonough 344, the Student Intellectual Property Law Association (SIPLA) is holding "A Day in the Life of a Patent Attorney," presented by Morrison and Foerster.  It is a lunch presentation by Brad Meier, Of Counsel in Morrison & Foerster's Patent Prosecution Practice. Food catered by the firm will be provided.

Funded Summer Job: Baltimore City Mayoral Fellowship

Baltimore City Mayoral Summer Fellowship

During a 10 week full-time placement in a Mayoral office or agency, Fellows will be assigned to projects that focus on a myriad of public policy issues and challenges.  Mayoral Fellows are placed in agencies based on their background, interests and the needs of the agencies and departments.  Fellows will complete their projects under the direction of senior level government officials and will be provided with immediate and direct feedback.  At the conclusion of the summer, Fellows will give presentations to the Mayor and various cabinet officials summarizing their placements and overall summer experience.  The ultimate goal of the fellowship is to encourage talented individuals, with an interest in public service, to seek permanent positions within City government at the conclusion of their academic program.
