CHILDREN AT RISK (CAR) SUMMER 2013 FELLOWSHIP FOR GEORGETOWN LAW STUDENTS
CAR has reserved two positions in their summer fellowship program specifically for Georgetown 2L students and will be on campus on Thursday, October 25 to conduct interviews for the Georgetown Summer Fellowships.
CAR, based in Houston, TX is a research and advocacy nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of Texas' children through strategic research, legal action, public policy analysis, community education, and collaboration. The organization focuses on the following issues: education, human trafficking, juvenile justice, mental health, and parenting. We are the leading source of accurate information on the needs of all children in Texas, as well as an advocate and catalyst for policy change.
CHILDREN AT RISK provides a diverse array of professional, personal, and intellectual opportunities for law student fellows. The fellowship is for twelve weeks during the summer and pays $1500 (candidates are also eligible for EJF). This position is for students attracted to public interest work and the pursuit of policy change.
