Volunteer for Casa de MD DACA Clinics
Over the past year CASA de Maryland has held over 57 DACA clinics and helped some 2,000 young undocumented students gain access to the benefits stipulated in President Obama's June 15th, 2012 announcement to allow a two-year, renewable deferred action against deportation for students who fulfilled a certain list of requirements. CASA relies on the support of volunteers to help them complete the initial filling out of the application with the students that come into their clinics. In the days following the clinic, CASA’s legal staff conduct a detailed revision of each application and perform any necessary follow-up.
Volunteer opportunity: CASA is seeking volunteers to help staff its next 2 DACA clinics.
