Pro Bono Board
The Pro Bono Board was founded in the spring of 2010 to work with the Pro Bono Coordinator. The Board's role is to serve as a liaison to the broader student body regarding pro bono involvement and opportunities, to help develop and coordinate new projects that appeal to student interests, and to serve in an advisory role to the Pro Bono Coordinator regarding the growth and development of Georgetown's pro bono programs. The Board also works to encourage all Georgetown Law students to make pro bono work a consistent part of their legal careers by developing pro bono projects and community partnerships and encouraging students to become involved in legal and community service in the greater DC area.
The Board is comprised of two co-chairs and 6-8 additional board members. The Board also selects 1L "Section Representatives" to help 1L students learn about and take part in pro bono opportunities.
