Health Marketplace and Communities Seminars ruler
The Kellogg Foundation hired the Center for Policy Alternatives (CPA) to run a series of four seminars for Kellogg program officers in the health area. The seminars address the community level impact of major trends in the health care marketplace. The topics are Managed Care, Health Care Conversions, Health Care Purchasing, and Integrated Delivery Systems. Harrison Institute staff helped draft the briefing memos that were distributed before each seminar and helped select the three panelists for each seminar. In particular, the Harrison Institute was responsible for the second seminar on nonprofit to for-profit conversions of hospitals and health plans (see Georgetown Interdisciplinary Project ). We are revising the briefing memo from that seminar for a broader audience. Staff will also help prepare a final project report to the Kellogg Foundation.
