Georgetown Law Closed: Wednesday, March 21
The Law Center is closed today, Wednesday, March 21, 2018, due to inclement weather. All activities and services, including scheduled events (student organization meetings and events, CLE, and conferences), are canceled. On-site classes will not be held in person and will be held according to the faculty member’s instructional continuity plan. All administrative offices are closed. The food services operation, fitness center and Early Learning Center are closed. The library is closed. It is expected that only designated emergency employees will come to the Law Center to fulfill their responsibilities. All others -- including students, staff, faculty, and visitors -- are expected not come to the Law Center, which will not be staffed to support anything other than essential life safety and snow/ice clearing functions.
Simona Rosu serves as Business Operations Manager at the Georgetown Law's Department of Academic Conferences and Continuing Legal Education (ACCLE). In her current role, Simona oversees the financial, administrative, and operations management of the ACCLE focusing on business process improvement, internal controls and risk management.
Prior to joining the ACCLE, Simona has contributed to the Georgetown University's community in various roles since 2005. She moved to the Georgetown Law's campus from the Georgetown University's Office of Internal Audit where she provide audit and advisory services, performed investigations and project management, and supported the formulation of the internal audit plans and quality improvement activities.
Her heritage is from Romania and she holds a Bachelor of Science from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Romania with concentration in Statistics and Economic Forecasting. She is a recognized leader with more than 20 years of combined experience in the profit/non-profit sectors, cross-cultural and multilingual settings, operational and consultative services to business leaders and C-level, and North American and European markets. A Certified Fraud Examiner, Simona volunteered as Vice President of the Washington Metropolitan Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud offering support and promoting the professional development of its members primarily through training and networking programs within the area of fraud examination.
