FTC Green Guides Panel
November 15, 2012The Federal Trade Commission recently issued the final version of its new "green guides" -- guidance described by the FTC as "designed to help marketers ensure that the claims they make about the environmental attributes of their products are truthful and non-deceptive." On Thursday, November 15, from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m., the Environmental Law Society of the Georgetown Law Center will host a panel discussion on the FTC's new green guides. David Vladeck, Professor of Law at Georgetown and currently the Director of the FTC's Public Protection Bureau, will open the event. Another representative from the FTC will then describe the new guidance, followed by a discussion with Urvashi Rangan of Consumer Reports, E. Donald Elliott of WilkieFarr, and Lisa Heinzerling of Georgetown Law Center. The event will be in the Hart Auditorium of McDonough Hall, at 600 New Jersey Ave. NW. All are welcome. |
