    Financial fraud, Ponzi schemes, insider trading, insider trading, trading in mutual funds, and securities analysts’ conflicts of interest have all made headline news. They also often result in litigation. This course will survey the various contexts in which claims arising under the securities laws may be litigated, including litigation with the SEC and other regulators, securities arbitration and class and derivative actions. Recent trends and current issues in private securities litigation as well as SEC cases will be discussed.
