Professor Boone is an Assistant General Counsel at Ernst & Young LLP where he advises on complex contractual, transactional and policy matters involving EY firms and operations throughout the globe. His work involves, among other matters, negotiating and drafting Strategic Alliance Agreements, Global Framework Agreements, Local Country Agreements, Software Implementation Agreements, Acquisition Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Subcontracts, Government Contracts, Master Services Agreements, Procurement Agreements and Licensing Agreements. Professor Boone was recognized by EY as a top instructor for “EYU”, EY’s internal education program. Professor Boone’s work at EY includes advising on the balancing of commercial goals with legal risks. Prior to EY, Professor Boone practiced at Arnold & Porter where he focused on international and domestic transactional matters for private sector entities as well as sovereign governments and mutilateral development institutions. Prior to Arnold & Porter, Professor Boone practiced in Budapest, Hungary at Baker & McKenzie’s Budapest office where he assisted in the establishment of the first Western law office behind the Iron Curtain. At Baker & McKenize Professional Boone advised foreign investors from Europe, the US and Asia on acquisitions, joint ventures, privatizations and other transactions before and during the opening of the Iron Curtain and in the first years of Central Europe's transition to a private sector economy. In addition to his U.S. based studies, Professor Boone has conducted research at Ludwig Maximilians University, Munich, Germany on a Fulbright Grant and a Bavarian State Grant and at Eötvös Loránd University School of Law, Budapest, Hungary on an International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX) Grant. Professor Boone speaks German and Hungarian in addition to English.
