Cancel/Reschedule Class ruler

If a class cancellation is planned in advance, please fax the Form to Reschedule a Class to the Office of Student Affairs at (202) 662-9261.

If you have an unplanned class cancellation, please notify the Office of the Registrar at (202) 662-9224 or email Louis Fine at fine@law.georgetown.edu, as well as lawreg@law.georgetown.edu. The Office of the Registrar will try to contact the students in your class by phone. Even if you call each of the students in the class yourself, please let the Office of the Registrar know first of the postponement.

Once you have decided upon a class make-up schedule, please fax the Form to Reschedule a Class to the Office of Student Affairs at (202) 662-9261 to reserve a room or deliver the form to the Office of Student Affairs, Room 170. As soon as the room for your rescheduled class has been assigned, the Office of Student Affairs will inform the Office of the Registrar.

The Office of the Registrar will record the information on the class cancellation telephone line that students can access at (202) 662-9446 and will post the information on the Registrar's home page.

No regular classes are scheduled on Wednesdays from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m, and only a few classes are scheduled on Fridays from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. There are no weekly classes on Saturdays after 12:30 p.m., although there are a few classes that meet all day on two Saturdays during the semester.

Some professors extend classes for 15-30 minutes for as many sessions as are needed to make up a missed class. Please check with Beverley Sapp in the Office of Student Affairs at (202) 662-9292 or email bls35@law.georgetown.edu to see whether your regular room is available, or if another room must be assigned, if you wish to extend your class.
