Professor Ellinwood is a Trial Attorney in the Southern Criminal Enforcement Section of the U.S. Department of Justice, Tax Division, where he prosecutes criminal tax fraud and other economic crimes. In 2011, he served on a detail to the White House Counsel’s Office to vet potential Presidential nominees and appointees. Before joining the Department of Justice, he was in private practice where he focused on government enforcement and white-collar criminal defense. He previously served as a law clerk to Judge Phyllis Kravitch of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
